Planning Commission backs athletic facility expansion with conditional approval

PA WILSON — The Wilson Borough Planning Commission unanimously recommended that Borough Council approve preliminary and final site plans for a new athletic stadium, building, and parking facilities, subject to compliance with the Borough Engineer's review and required zoning variances. The commission also unanimously recommended approval of a waiver to relocate an existing sign and install a fence within required clear sight triangles along Butler Street. Commissioner Jeffrey Bracken raised concerns regarding pedestrian safety at existing crosswalks along Warrior Lane after dark.
